Our Desktop Environment
IBM compatible PC is the primary desktop computing platform at EdUHK. OCIO is responsible for the configuration of office PCs as well as PCs in central computer rooms and general classrooms.
All OCIO-provided PCs are installed with Microsoft Office, popular Internet browsers like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, as well as anti-virus software. Besides, OCIO also makes available a list of software (e.g. SPSS, PDF-XChange Pro) on the network to cater for different needs. Users are required to log in to access the network software.
